Yarrow is one of the best choices in wildflower seeds for beginning gardeners. It grows very well in hot, sunny, dry locations.
These white native wildflowers will spread fairly well on their own without intervention.
It is rather difficult to divide Yarrow wildflowers once they have grown in to full white flowering plants. Planting from wildflower seed is the best way to fill a garden with white Yarrow.
Most native flowers will eagerly spread throughout the garden with little intervention or help. White Yarrow wildflowers are favorites of butterflies, who need the flat tops of the white blooming plants to land on. I have grown spiderwort wildflowers and wildflower seeds in partial shade with good results. Personally, I like the way native plants stand up to all kinds of weather and conditions. I also like the way white native wildflowers spread vigorously.
One caution: do not over water white native flowers. This will lead to rotting. Most native flowers prefer to dry out completely between waterings. Also, do not plant spiderwort in boggy locations.
